(PRESS RELEASE) Guernsey, Jersey, 2024-Jul-8— /Travel PR News/ — Blue Islands has recently announced the latest beneficiaries of its flight funding programme. This initiative, which began in 2019, continues to help Channel Islanders pursue their ambitions and opportunities by providing free flights.

According to Rob Veron, CEO of Blue Islands, “The range of aspirations showcased in a record number of applications, from sports to charities, art, and personal enrichment, is a testament to the amazing talent, dedication, and passion of Channel Islanders.”

In this latest round of funding, 300 free flights worth over £25,000 have been awarded to beneficiaries in sports, charities, and the arts.

One of the beneficiaries is 10-year-old Archie Greier from Jersey, a talented snooker player who regularly competes in UK tournaments. After winning the U21 Bronze championship in Swindon in May, Archie expressed his excitement about becoming a flight fund beneficiary. “I’m so happy that I finished off the snooker season with a victory. I’ve won three Cuestars tournaments now and hope to win more when it starts again in September. With flight funding support from Blue Islands, I can enter many more events and hopefully gain more experience and bring back more trophies to Jersey,” he said.

Rob Veron added, “From year-round connectivity to flight funding, we’re proud to support our Channel Islands community in achieving their goals. We look forward to sharing the wonderful achievements of Archie and many of our other beneficiaries over the coming months.”
