Atlantic Hotel reconfirmed as one of the finest in the UK

2012-10-1 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Atlantic Hotel and Ocean Restaurant has been reconfirmed as one of the finest establishments in the UK and Ireland retaining its highly prized four AA Red Star / four AA Rosette rating. The champagne corks are also popping for sister property Mark Jordan at the Beach which has been newly awarded two AA Rosettes.

Atlantic Hotel owners Patrick and Treena Burke were present at the prestigious AA Awards Ceremony which took place last night at the London Hilton on Park Lane and was hosted by TV presenter Kate Silverton.

The Atlantic Hotel is one of just 19 hotel restaurants in the country to hold four AA Rosettes or above and its commitment to all round excellence is demonstrated by the fact that it is one of only a handful to have received the dual award of four AA Red Stars and four AA Rosettes.

Commenting on the awards Patrick Burke said:

“We are thrilled that we have retained our four AA Red Stars and four AA Rosettes. Very few establishments enjoy this dual recognition, which, to some extent represents the holy grail of hotel-keeping. It comes as a result of a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication on the part of the entire team here at The Atlantic. We are fortunate indeed to live on such a beautiful island that provides us with a wealth of high quality ingredients from which our Executive Head Chef, Mark Jordan and his brigade consistently produce outstanding dishes. And of course we’re absolutely delighted that our new venture Mark Jordan at the Beach has been awarded two Rosettes after just 12 months of trading.”
