TOKYO, Japan, 2018-Oct-24 — /Travel PR News/ — ANA HOLDINGS INC. (hereinafter “ANA HD”) announces today change of leadership of its 100% subsidiary LCC Vanilla Air INC. (hereinafter “Vanilla”) effective Nov. 2, 2018, in preparation for the integration of its two LCCs Peach Aviation Limited (hereinafter “Peach”) and Vanilla.
ANA HD positions the integrated group LCC company as an important pillar for greater profits and new opportunities for future expansion with the aim of becoming the leading LCC in Asia.
The new integrated LCC will be capable of not only further promoting the Japan domestic service but also capturing the strong demand for visitors to Japan. In FY2020, the airline plans to enter the mid-haul LCC market and beyond FY2020, it envisions to have more than 50 aircraft operating on more than 50 routes, up from the 35 aircraft today and the 39 routes currently served.
Peach and Vanilla are currently in the process of integration which is scheduled to be completed in FY 2019. Therefore, we are planning to sell all of the shares of Vanilla, currently held by ANAHD, to Peach.
ANA HD intends to maximize profits by expanding the business area of the ANA Group as a whole while respecting the uniqueness of management for the LCC business as before.
