BERLIN, 2015-2-9 — /Travel PR News/ — On Thursday airberlin has taken its 80th million guest to Palma de Mallorca. Statistically speaking, this means it has flown almost every German citizen to the Balearic island. Already the very first airberlin flight on 28 April 1979 took off from Berlin to Palma de Mallorca using a Boeing 707. The airline has been the leading airline in the market at Palma de Mallorca Airport for eleven years. During the winter season airberlin currently undertakes 170 flights a week from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to Mallorca. In the coming summer season there are 400 weekly flights from Germany Austria and Switzerland on the flight schedule.
