Air France is a member of the “SESAR Deployment Alliance“, an entity recently appointed by the European Commission to plan and coordinate a mass-scale modernization of European airspace, to meet the demands of the XX1st century.
PARIS, 2014-12-11 — /Travel PR News/ — Air France has joined this single interprofessional partnership, comprising 4 airlines, 25 airports and 11 air traffic control services, which will be in charge of supervising the implementation of close to 3 billion euros worth of air traffic control infrastructural improvements in Europe.
The SESAR Deployment Alliance must implement the European Commission’s “Single European Sky” (SESAR) initiative, which aims to improve efficiency, reduce delays and increase environmental performance.
This modernization is not only essential for the future competitiveness of the European air transport industry, but also for the overall economic well-being of the continent.
Air France’s participation in this future project is evidence of its determination to contribute to modernizing European airspace.
