AIR FRANCE AND AIR ANTILLES EXPRESS SIGN A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN FORT DE FRANCE AND SAINT LUCIA

2012-09-24 — /travelprnews.com/ — Starting 28 October 2012, Air France and Air Antilles Express will be implementing a commercial partnership consisting of a “free flow” agreement between Fort de France and Saint Lucia.

Air France will sell its own tickets on Air Antilles Express flights operated by ATR 52 500, on departure from Fort de France.

This agreement will enable Air France to offer its customers three weekly services to Saint Lucia on departure from Europe.

“Air France welcomes this partnership which will offer customers an additional opportunity to travel to the Caribbean from Europe and vice versa. Air France is supporting the development of trade and tourism in the Caribbean, as it has done for the past 65 years. For Air France, this agreement constitutes the beginning of a wider cooperation which could be extended to other destinations”, declared Alain Malka, SVP Caribbean & Indian Ocean Air France KLM.

“This agreement with Air France further strengthens our commitment to expand our joint services for the benefit of passengers. The destination of Saint Lucia will be perpetuated by the significant contribution of passengers from France and Europe on Air France’s transatlantic flights”, declared Christian Marchand, CEO of Air Antilles Express.

Air France flies to Martinique and Guadeloupe by Boeing B777-300 with 13 weekly flights from Paris-Orly and 1 weekly flight from Paris-CDG. Air France also operates a regional network linking Cayenne, Fort de France, Pointe à Pitre, Port au Prince, Santo Domingo and Miami by Airbus A320.

Air Antilles Express operates a regional network in the French West Indies with 6 scheduled destinations on departure from its hubs in Pointe à Pitre and Fort de France to Saint Lucia, Saint Martin, Saint-Barthelemy and Santo Domingo with more than 18 daily connections linking these islands. Other destinations such as Punta Cana, La Romana, Antigua and Barbados are served by charter or seasonal flights.
