SEATTLE, 2014-7-16 — /Travel PR News/ — With 650 delegates registered to attend, the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA; www.adventuretravel.biz) announced that their annual Adventure Travel World Summit is now sold out. The Summit, which will take place October 6 – 9, 2014, in Killarney, Ireland, attracts buyers and sellers of adventure travel from all over the globe to come together each year to discuss the overarching trends and themes of the industry.
“We’re thrilled to be fully booked with months left to go until the event begins,” said ATTA President Mr. Shannon Stowell, “That 650 delegates recognize the value of the Adventure Travel World Summit proves to us that the industry is committed to taking a close look at itself and wants to come together to think critically about our impact.” Additional delegates wanting to attend the Summit can join a waiting list to fill in any possible cancellations.
Throughout the duration of the Summit, the theme of “The Economics of Adventure Travel” will be considered through relevant plenary sessions that explore the value of the industry. In addition to the six featured plenary sessions, delegates to the Summit can also attend forums aimed at addressing industry challenges, workshops that address marketing and operational needs of travel businesses, and “solution centers” staffed with industry experts.
Featured plenary sessions under the umbrella of “The Economics of Adventure Travel” include discussions of the role of the internet in all aspects of travel, business plans that have wildlife conservation at their heart and adaptation of global safety standards for the adventure travel industry. Experts from leading travel organizations and global companies will lead the sessions. Specific speakers for these sessions and the keynote address for the Summit will be announced this summer.
