ZURICH, Switzerland, 2017-Oct-03 — /Travel PR News/ — Zurich Airport has won the renowned World Travel Award for its customer friendliness and fulfilment of general quality standards for the 14th consecutive time.
The annual World Travel Awards has honoured impressive performance in the travel and tourism sector since 1993. This year sees Zurich Airport win the award as Europe’s leading airport for the 14th time in succession. In its category, it beat eight other competitors: Barcelona, Hamburg, London/Heathrow, Lisbon, Munich, Paris/Charles de Gaulle, Pristina and Schiphol. The criteria used to assess the contenders included customer satisfaction and the general standard of products and service quality.
Stephan Widrig, CEO of the airport operator, sees the prize as recognition for all the partner companies which operate at Zurich Airport: “Only the excellent cooperation among all companies makes it possible to offer our guests superb quality.”
The World Travel Award is advertised internationally, and the prizes awarded by London-based media house World Travel Awards Ltd. The ratings result from an Internet survey of travel experts and the general public. Further information is available here.
