Zurich, Switzerland,  2014-8-7 — /Travel PR News/ — For the eleventh time in a row, Zurich Airport has been awarded the renowned World Travel Award for its customer service and general quality standards.

The satisfaction of customers as well as general quality standards of products and services were among the evaluation criteria. In its category, Zurich Airport surpassed seven competitors: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Hamburg, London/Heathrow, Lisbon, Munich and Paris/Charles de Gaulle.

Thomas E. Kern, CEO of Flughafen Zürich AG, emphasizes the excellent collaboration between the airport operator and the partner companies at Zurich Airport: “This recognition is dedicated to all the companies at Zurich Airport, as they all contribute to a smooth operation and the high quality of our airport.”

Established in 1993, the World Travel Award recognizes outstanding achievements in the travel and tourism industry. The awards are published internationally and handed out by the media company World Travel Awards Ltd. in London (www.worldtravelawards.com). The placements are the result of an Internet poll among travel experts and public opinion.
