Wizz Air’s newest Airbus A321 graced the Budapest’s airshow

Budapest, Hungary, 2016-May-04 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, for only the second time, took part in the airshow held in Budapest on 1 May.

This year, Wizz Air participated with its newest Airbus A321, and it was the first time ever an Airbus A321 was involved in Budapest’s airshow.  Wizz Air’s Chief Flight Operations Officer Captain David Morgan and Captain András Arday performed three flights above the Danube with one of the airline’s brand new A321 aircraft. The first low flight was performed at 140 knots and an altitude of 100 meters showing off the flaps and the landing gear. After a beautiful 45 degree turn next to Margaret Island, the aircraft returned with retracted gear and, as its finale, then performed a full-speed flight at 300 knots.

The Airbus A321ceo is the most efficient single-aisle passenger aircraft and was first deployed in WIZZ’s fleet in November 2015 at Wizz Air’s Budapest base. Budapest now has four A321 aircraft flying its more popular routes and the aircraft’s superior operating economics mean that WIZZ offers more seats to more destinations at WIZZ’s lowest fares at the same time as delivering the lowest emissions and noise footprint in its class.

In addition to the refreshed livery now appearing more frequently in the fleet and shown at the airshow, the A321ceos feature new interior colors, a lighter cabin ambiance, soft leather seats, and more cabin seating choices. As always, WIZZ passengers have great choices to customize their travel, whether Priority Boarding, Extra Legroom or Upfront Seating.

WIZZ will take 30 of the current version A321 aircraft through 2018 and then begin accepting delivery of an upgraded model, the A321neo, featuring advanced engine technology. The continued investment in new technology reflect Wizz Air’s commitment to become the most efficient airline in Europe and this, in turn, will help ensure that Wizz Air remains Central and Eastern Europe’s largest low-cost fare airline.
