Wizz Air won the Sky Star Award as the preferred budget airline

SOFIA, BULGARIA, 2015-12-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air, the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, won the Sky Star Award as the preferred budget airline during a dinner celebrating the SKY STARS awards presented for the first time by the aviation industry, travel agents and the tourism industry in Bulgaria.

The voting was organized by APG Bulgaria and for the first time by b2bmedia – one of the leading online business portals in Bulgaria. The first Bulgarian „aviation Oscars” – Sky Stars 2015 collected the best of the best of IATA members and all professionals of the aviation sector – airports, carriers, ground operators, transport and logistics companies present in Bulgaria.

Best companies in the selected categories were chosen with a national survey, conducted in November 2015. The voting was based on the inquiries of IATA Agencies, passengers and professional jury.

Wizz Air won the award in the „Sky Star Budget” – the best low cost carrier category thanks to the airline’s steady growth and an attractive offer of 32 routes from three Bulgarian airports: Sofia, Bourgas and Varna.
