Wizz Air to launch two weekly flights from Szczecin, Poland to Stockholm, Sweden on 14 May

BUDAPEST, Hungary, 2018-Feb-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today (FEB 21, 2018) announced a new route from Szczecin to Stockholm Skavsta. The newest WIZZ service will commence on 14 May and operate with two weekly flights, on Mondays and Fridays. Seats on the new route are on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com or via the WIZZ mobile app with fares starting from as low as PLN 39 / SEK 99*.

The new route will strengthen business relations between Poland and Sweden, while also stimulating the local aviation, tourism and hospitality industries.

With the Bergen, Oslo Torp and Stavanger routes, WIZZ now connects Szczecin with four destinations offering the lowest fares and an excellent customer experience on-board one of Europe’s most modern aircraft fleets, to both Polish customers and the visitors to the country.

In 2017 Wizz Air carried 152,000 passengers on its Szczecin routes supporting over 110** jobs in associated industries in the region.

Along with Szczecin, Wizz Air offers flights from seven other Polish airports: Warsaw, Katowice, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw, Lublin and Olsztyn Mazury. In 2017, 8.1 million passengers travelled with WIZZ on its low-fare Polish routes, 17% growth year on year. Following the massive expansion announced for 2018, Wizz Air will have 25 aircraft and 1000 customer-oriented crew based in Poland by the end of the year.

With its newest Szczecin route, Wizz Air now offers 166 low-fare routes to 30 countries from its eight Polish airports.
