5th BASE IN ROMANIA, 1 BASED AIRBUS A320, 6 ROUTES

Budapest, Hungary, 2014-7-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe*, today celebrated the opening of its newest Romanian base in Craiova. The airline is initially deploying one Airbus A320 aircraft to be based at Craiova airport operating 4 new routes from Craiova to Barcelona, Bologna, Dortmund and Rome Ciampino starting from 23 July.

Wizz Air is not only adding new flights from Craiova, but also increasing the frequencies on the existing services to London Luton and Milan Bergamo. Wizz Air is now offering 6 routes to 4 different countries from its new Romanian base. The airline’s expansion in Romania can stimulate the local job market in aviation and the tourism sector with more visitors now able to travel to Dolj County on its low fare services.
