Wizz Air named 2019 Airline of the Year by Air Transport Awards

BUDAPEST, Hungary, 2019-May-09 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, proudly announces it was named 2019 Airline of the Year by Air Transport Awards, the only international prizes that award all the main categories of the air transport industry. The award was handed over to Stephen Jones, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Wizz Air Hungary, at the 2019 Air Transport Awards Ceremony held in Ekali, Greece.

The 2019 Air Transport Awards are in partnership with Hermes – Air Transport Organisation and ATN – Air Transport News. The jury of the corporate awards composed of some of the most prominent figures of the air transport industry, namely:

• Henrik Hololei, Chairperson of the Jury & Director General for Mobility and Transport, European Commission
• Jeff Poole, Director General, CANSO
• Robert Deillon, Vice President, Hermes – Air Transport Organisation
• Charles Schlumberger, Lead Air Transport, World Bank
