Wizz Air launches new route from Birmingham Airport to Cluj International Airport in Romania

The new service, which connects the second largest cities in Britain and Romania, will commence on 16 December 2018. 2018 has been a year of massive growth for Wizz Air’s UK operations, following the launch of Wizz Air UK in May and the increase of its local UK fleet to eight Airbus aircraft. The new service between Birmingham and Cluj brings the total number of new UK routes for 2018 to 14; London Luton to Larnaca, Tirana, Tallinn, Bratislava, Lviv, Athens, Keflavik, Eilat, Grenoble, Verona, Bari and Tromsø, and Doncaster Sheffield to Debrecen.

This year the company offers more than 8.7 million seats from 9 UK airports, available on 76 routes, making it the third largest low cost airline in the country.
