Cornwall, 2013-06-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — Starting June 25th, VIA Rail will be undertaking work to repair a rail crossing on highway 138 at mileage point 38.68. This is part of a larger maintenance project, which seeks to improve operational and public security.
Work will begin the night of June 25th at 9:00 p.m., and will carry on throughout the next day (June 26th). Highway 138, which links the 417 to Cornwall, will be closed for the duration of the repair, between Monkland and Gravel Hill. A detour for road traffic will be put in place.
Highway 138 will be partially re-opened on June 26th at 12:00 p.m. and fully open at 4:00 p.m. Workers will keep noise to a minimum during the night.
