New route between Asia and the Americas further links the two regions
Richmond, B.C., 2017-Apr-14 — /Travel PR News/ — Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is pleased to welcome China Southern Airlines’ new three-times weekly Guangzhou – Vancouver – Mexico City service, which commenced on April 10, 2017. The new service, which uses a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, marks the first route between China and Mexico via YVR.
“I would like to thank China Southern for their continued support and for providing another great choice for our passengers,” said Craig Richmond, YVR’s President & CEO. “This new service will further develop YVR as a world-class hub and will help us achieve our vision of connecting Asia to the Americas. These two great destinations are linked together through our airport, with plenty of opportunities for business, education and tourism between the two regions.”
The new service further strengths YVR and China Southern’s successful partnership, which started with the launch of China Southern’s Guangzhou service in 2011. Passengers who use the new service will have the opportunity to make YVR their final destination or carry onward to Mexico City or Guangzhou.
