(PRESS RELEASE) WELLINGTON, New Zealand, 2025-May-8 — /Travel PR News/ — TRENZ, New Zealand’s largest annual tourism trade show, has concluded another highly successful event, bidding farewell to Rotorua after a memorable few days of business and collaboration.
“The past few days have demonstrated the immense value of this remarkable event. With 1,200 delegates engaging in an astounding 16,000 business meetings, TRENZ has laid the foundation for tourism export growth that will benefit the industry for years to come,” says Rebecca Ingram, Chief Executive of Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA).
Rotorua, renowned as the birthplace of international tourism, exceeded expectations by rolling out the red carpet for the tourism industry. The city’s commitment to showcasing New Zealand’s unique Māori culture, with its core values of manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga, and whanaungatanga, infused every aspect of the event.
As TRENZ bids farewell to Rotorua, TIA is excited to announce that the event will return to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland in 2026. The New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) will host TRENZ from May 19-21, 2026.
“After nearly a decade, it’s Auckland’s turn to shine!” says Ingram. “TRENZ 2026 will provide the perfect opportunity to showcase the many exciting developments in the region, including the exceptional NZICC. Plans are already in motion to ensure the travel trade audience experiences the many new and diverse attractions throughout the region.”
