TIX.nl signs long-term agreement with Travelport

Langley, UK, 2012-07-23 — /travelprnews.com/ —  Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry and TIX, a leading online travel agent (OTA) in The Netherlands, have today announced a new multi-year international travel content and technology agreement.

TIX is a relatively new OTA, operating since June 2010, but has grown rapidly and is on target to reach a 100 million euro turnover in 2012.

“We have been experiencing strong growth and have chosen Travelport as the best partner to help us continue that growth and achieve our expansion plans in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Poland, France and United Kingdom”, commented Bjorn de Jager, CEO of TIX. “As part of our selection process we carried out a number of tests and found Travelport’s fare shopping, through their e-Pricing product, was second to none.”
