Mrs. Linda Plopper joins THOR’s team as its new Supplier Relations Account Manager
LANGLEY, UK, 2016-May-10 — /Travel PR News/ — THOR Inc., a world leading travel services company, today announces the appointment of Supplier Relations Account Manager, Linda Plopper. In her new role, Linda is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with current travel supplier partners, while improving their profitability and providing the most appropriate solutions that fit their needs through THOR’s Worldwide Supplier Programs.
Prior to joining THOR, Linda most recently worked with Destination Hotels as the Global Director of Travel Industry Sales since 2013. Her account base included consortium, transient government and transient corporate business for the Destination portfolio. From 2006 through 2013, Linda worked as the Director of Worldwide Business Travel Sales for Sonesta Hotels and Resorts. She also served as the Director of National Sales for Wyndham Hotel Group from 2000 through 2005 from the Northwest USA. Between 1993 and 2000, Linda held various sales positions with Westin Hotels in Indianapolis, Indiana and Hyatt Regency Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas. Her career in the travel industry began in 1978, where she worked as a Travel Agent, Agency Manager and Regional Sales Manager.
Linda Plopper has been in the travel industry for over 37 years and is an active member of GBTA and ACTE. She studied at Indiana University and also at Gymnasium Skolan in Falkenberg, Sweden.
