The Saltaire opens with celebratory cocktails at LBA

2012-08-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — To celebrate the launch of the Saltaire Bar & Eatery at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA), mixologist Barry Maguire unveiled his winning concoction from the recent Ryanair Cocktail Competition.

The cocktail; ‘Dublin’s Calling’, aptly named after one of Ryanair’s routes, will take pride of place in the new Saltaire Bar & Eatery as a signature tipple.

The stylish bar and eatery, named after the nearby town of Saltaire – a world heritage site, famous for its architecture, food and award-winning beers – celebrates the very best of the region.

The regional theme is reflected in the food and beverage menu with a tasty range of local produce balanced with modern flavours from around the world.

It also serves cask conditioned ales from two North Yorkshire Breweries, Theakston and Black Sheep. It also offers spirits and an extensive list of wines. Experts in beer and wine will be on hand to help customers make their choice.

Commenting on the new opening, Richard Aldridge of Leeds Bradford Airport said; ‘We are delighted to introduce this stylish new bar & eatery, the Saltaire, to Leeds Bradford Airport which offers passengers a wider choice of high quality food and beverages to complement the existing outlets of Cafe RitazzaThe Danby BarCamden food co. and Burger King.’

SSP UK Local Site Marketing Manager, Jacqueline Smith, believes the new addition will do much to enhance the customer experience at Leeds Bradford; ‘Our aim is to offer choices that are ideally suited to the needs of the customer at Leeds Bradford. In particular Camden food co. and The Saltaire offer something of the unique culinary heritage of Yorkshire with the high standards expected by global travellers at an important international airport.’

The new food outlets, opened as part of an £11 million investment programme to improve facilities at the airport, has created 20 new jobs.
