The Emirates Group and Emirates Nationals Development Programme partner to recruit UAE nationals to support the growth of Emirates airline and dnata

DUBAI, U.A.E, 2015-7-17 — /Travel PR News/ — The Emirates Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today with Emirates Nationals Development Programme (ENDP) to recruit UAE nationals in a variety of positions to support the growth of Emirates airline and dnata.

The agreement was signed at the Emirates Group Headquarters by Amira Al Awadhi, Emirates’ Vice President – National Recruitment and Development and Essa Al Mulla, Chief of Emirates Nationals Development Programme. The signing ceremony was attended by Nasser Bin Kherbash, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President, Human Resources Development and Employee Services, Zainab Al Zarouni, ENDP Corporate Relations Manager and senior representatives from both parties.

“At the Emirates Group, we recognise that UAE Nationals are key contributors to the progress of our organisation. Since we’ve established our National Recruitment & Development Unit in the early nineties, we’ve worked hard to ensure Emiratis are well-positioned across different facets of the business,” said Amira Al Awadhi. “We aim to attract up to 5000 UAE Nationals by 2020 and our partnership with ENDP is the best approach to reach that goal,” she added

The MoU sets specific recruitment targets each year through the exchange of information on applicants between the Emirates Group and ENDP. Using this information and through regular planning meetings, the team will develop mechanisms to implement the recruitment initiatives within the Emirates Group.

“Our goal at ENDP is not only to meet the future employment needs of Emiratis but to ensure that the culture of the UAE is woven into the fabric of our society. That is why our long-term partnership with Emirates was the perfect fit as the Group continues to support UAE nationals and respect the national culture through its services worldwide; bringing travellers into Dubai and representing the UAE abroad,” said Essa Al Mulla

The Emirates Group has recently revealed its Emiratisation strategy, Rehlaty. The national recruitment strategy is set to double the number of UAE Nationals within a five year period.

The National Recruitment and Development division in the Emirates Group includes a dedicated team of 39 to recruit and develop extensive training programmes for UAE nationals. The department makes continuous efforts throughout the year to attract Emiratis, from regular visits to educational institutions and summer training programmes for students, to career fairs across the UAE and proactive recruitment.
