Bethesda, Md. 2012-09-18 — /travelprnews.com/ — At Marriott International Headquarters, president and CEO Arne Sorenson (left in gray shirt) joined more than 300 associates for a 5K/1K Run & Walk to celebrate the two-year anniversary of the company’s “TakeCare” Wellness program. As part of TakeCare, Marriott provides tools and resources to associates, partnering with medical plans and wellness experts, to help associates live a healthy lifestyle.

Marriott and participants of the race raised $6,450 to help support Back on My Feet (BoMF), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to creating independence and self-sufficiency within the homeless and other underserved populations by first engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem.

Also in attendance were David Rodriguez, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, and Dave Grissen, president for the Americas.
