2012-11-12 — /travelprnews.com/ — SSP, the leading dedicated operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations, has secured £450m (€560m) worth of new and extended contracts in two of France’s best known railway stations.

The first is an extension to 2020 of an existing contract, to operate outlets at Gare de Lyon in Paris. These include two Starbucks outlets, two Brioche Dorée outlets, the Bonne Journée brand, an Eat Factory, and an eat’Shop convenience store.

The second, in Bordeaux’s Saint-Jean station, is to operate five new units for a period of 12 years, starting from May 2013. These include a branch of SSP’s own-brand French brasserie Le Grand Comptoir, two Brioche Dorée outlets, an eat’Shop outlet, and the fast-food pasta brand Mezzo di Pasta, which will be run alongside Alto Café, a high quality coffee outlet.

Commenting on the news, Gerard d’Onofrio, the CEO of SSP France, Belgium and Holland, said: “These latest contract wins are further evidence of our continuing expansion in France, and build on the significant success that we have recently had in both the air and rail sectors.”
