South West’s Swiss link to continue into 2013

Helvetic Airways confirms commitment to Bristol-Zurich service

2012-07-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — Helvetic Airways has confirmed its continued commitment to the South West and Wales by announcing its schedule of flights from Bristol Airport to Zurich for winter 2012/13.

The three-times weekly service to the Swiss financial centre has operated since December 2011, and has proved popular with leisure and business passengers from across the region, as well as inbound visitors from Switzerland.

From 28 October flights will depart every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at the later time of 6.50pm, arriving in Zurich at 8.40pm. Return flights depart from Zurich at 4.20pm and arriving back in Bristol at 6.10pm.

As well as providing a convenient link to one of Europe’s major financial centres for businesses in the South West and Wales, the continuation of the Zurich service is great news for the region’s skiers. The city’s airport serves renowned resorts such as Klosters, Grindelwald and Wengen.

Shaun Browne, Aviation Director at Bristol Airport, said:
“We are delighted to be working closely with Helvetic Airways in promoting this service. Passenger numbers continue to improve and we see further potential to increase frequency in support of the business and leisure traveller.”
