South Florida business aviation organizations announce fundraising campaign for hurricane relief efforts
Washington, DC, 2017-Oct-26 — /Travel PR News/ — Business aviation continues to do all it can to help those in need in the hurricane-ravaged areas of South Florida and the Caribbean.
The latest demonstration of support comes from three south Florida business aviation organizations – the South Florida Business Aviation Association (SFBAA), Tampa Bay Aviation Association and the Florida Aviation Business Association. These groups have created a hurricane relief fund with the goal of raising money to cover the costs of flying much-needed supplies to those areas hardest hit by Hurricane Irma.
SFBAA kicked off the fund by donating the first $2,000. The Florida Airports Council, also has donated $2,000, said Jeff Ramsden, SFBAA president and president and co-owner of Ramjet Aviation Inc.
The Florida groups have several volunteers willing to donate their aircraft and pilot services, and they are conducting a state-wide effort to recruit additional volunteer aircraft and pilots. The organizations also working with several groups that have warehouses of supplies waiting to be flown to relief areas.
All contributions to the hurricane relief fund are 100 percent tax deductible. and all funds raised through this campaign will go toward hurricane relief efforts. Donations may be made to:
