JOHANNESBURG, 2014-7-17 — /Travel PR News/ — South African Airways (SAA) would like to advise that 18 of the 20 people injured whilst on board SA286 from Johannesburg to Hong Kong have now been discharged from hospital.
The two passengers who sustained serious injuries remain in hospital for observation.
The rest of the passengers who were injured have been discharged.
Flight SA286, an Airbus A340-300 aircraft, departed on Tuesday, 15 July at 17h11 (SA time). The aircraft experienced turbulence on route to Hong Kong and 20 people (17 passengers and 3 crew) were injured.
SAA further advises that due to the incident involving SA286, flight SA287 from Hong Kong to Johannesburg on 16 July has been delayed.
