2013-02-13 — /travelprnews.com/ — Sofia Airport launched construction works on the extension of the T2 Pier. The reconstruction will lengthen this facility northwards by approximately 6 m.
The event was attended by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications -Ivaylo Moskovski, the Deputy Minister of Interior – Dimitar Dimitrov, the Executive Director of Bulgaria Air – Captain Yanko Georgiev, the Manager of АТ Engineering 2000 – Iliyan Terziev, and MPs.
Minister Moskovski expressed satisfaction that despite the crisis, the aviation business managed to maintain stability, and that Sofia Airport, having clearly-fixed goals and parameters, was implementing its business programs.
The Executive Director of Sofia Airport – Veselin Peykov, wished successful work completion, and said that after its extension the Pier would have the capacity to accommodate about 200 000 passengers more.
The T2 Pier Extension is yet another project in the sphere of aviation that will contribute to the development of this sector.
