Singapore Marriott Hotel’s Restaurants Lauded in ‘WINE & DINE’

Crossroads Cafe, Pool Grill and Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant – three restaurants from the Singapore Marriott Hotel are awarded four accolades in WINE & DINE Singapore’s Top Restaurant Guide 2012.

Following a 3-month refurbishment, Crossroads Cafe reopened in December 2011, where its familiar design has been reinvigorated with a prominent wine fridge, new colour palate and ambient lighting creating a relaxed yet chic atmosphere. The restaurant now offers guests a newly revamped East-meets-West all-day menu featuring delicious home-cooked staples, a wider selection of premium wines by the glass and a large range of draft beers on tap.

Pool Grill, the chic al fresco restaurant is awarded “Best Western Cuisine Wine List Awards, Best Wine List with 101 Labels and More”. Amidst the relaxing resort-like ambiance, Pool Grill serves delectable contemporary western cuisine, making it the ideal venue for business lunch or casual gatherings with friends. The weekly-changing 3-course set menus feature sumptuous dishes prepared using only the freshest produce.

The Hotel’s Cantonese fine dining restaurant, Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant appears as the biggest winner, with two titles of “Best Asian Wine List with More Than 300 Labels” and “Best Asian Ethnic Cuisine Wine List Awards, Best Wine List with 101 Labels and More” won. The restaurant, with signature culinary masterpieces such as Peking Duck, authentic handcrafted dim sum and other Cantonese classics has garnered a faithful following since the restaurant opened its door in 1995.

WINE & DINE Singapore’s Top Restaurant Guide is the culmination of extensive incognito tasting of panel over a period of six months. The panel of experts comprises food critics, wine connoisseurs, foodies and industry personalities who have been stringently selected to ensure a viable cross-section with all prejudices removed. Restaurants are assessed broadly based on food quality, service, ambience and overall dining experience. Awarded establishments are the crème-de-la-crème in Singapore’s dining scene.
