Airport’s largest airline to launch first nonstop flights to capital city in May 2025

(IN SHORT) San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has announced that United Airlines will launch its first-ever nonstop flights to San José, Costa Rica in May 2025. The daily service will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft, fulfilling a long-standing demand for direct flights between SFO and the Costa Rican capital. The new route will strengthen travel options and trade between the Bay Area and Central America.

This new route will be the first-ever direct flights between SFO and Costa Rica’s capital, providing daily, year-round service aboard Boeing 737 aircraft.
