2012-11-23 — /travelprnews.com/ — Lufthansa is this year launching its first own online sales promotion on “Cyber Monday“, 26 November. The launch allows all customers booking flights on the airline’s website at www.lufthansa.com on Monday to obtain a personal discount in the form of a promotion code for immediate redemption.

The promotion code must be redeemed on the same day. It then reduces the net price of the flight by up to 30 euros. The “Cyber Monday” discount applies to all Lufthansa flights in all flight classes in the period from 15 January to 15 March 2013.

Good news, too, for online customers booking their beach or city-break package holidays complete with flight and hotel accommodation at www.lufthansaholidays.com. Holidaymakers can profit from a further “Cyber Monday” promotion: For all travel packages booked on this Monday, they will receive a voucher reducing the final price of their next booking by ten per cent.

“Cyber Monday“ encouraging people to shop online is a variant of the Black Friday retail bonanza now a firm fixture after Thanksgiving in the shopping calendar in the USA.  Lufthansa is initially offering its “Cyber Monday” sales promotion for online bookings of worldwide flights in ten European markets at www.lufthansa.com. Further details will be available on the Lufthansa website on Monday.
