MUNICH, 2015-12-21 — /Travel PR News/ — At the weekend, the Lufthansa flight from Munich to Kittilä had a special passenger and precious cargo: Santa flew back to Lapland with bundles of Christmas wishes. As everyone knows, Santa’s home lies north of the Arctic Circle, in the city of Rovaniemi. The International airport at Kittilä is located 170 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. So it was that the Finnish Santa, along with tourists and winter sports enthusiasts from all over the world, returned to Lapland. Kittilä and the nearby skiing areas of Levi and Ylläs make up Finland’s largest centre for winter sports; it has been crowned as Finland’s best skiing area on several occasions. Even before the flight, Santa was handing out gingerbread hearts to passengers, assisted by flight attendant Riccarda Riedel. Santa also wished his fellow passengers a Merry Christmas over the cabin intercom.
