SAN DIEGO, CA, 2021-Jun-25 — /Travel PR News/ — Southwest Airlines has announced it will add nonstop service to Bozeman, Mont. via Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) from San Diego International Airport (SAN) beginning November 23.
Southwest Airlines has also announced it will resume nonstop service to New Orleans, La. via Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) beginning November 7. The resumption comes after Southwest Airlines suspended service in May 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pre-COVID-19, the airline offered daily nonstop flights.
“Montana has become a popular destination since the state offers an abundance of outdoor winter recreation activities and several national parks,” said Kimberly Becker, President and CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. “We appreciate the new service option to Bozeman and the resumption of service to New Orleans. We are on our way to recovery, and these new flights provide more options for people to travel for leisure or business.”
Bozeman is 90 miles north of Yellowstone National Park and features plentiful fishing, hiking, and other outdoor winter recreation options. Winter sports enthusiasts have their pick of two mountains – Big Sky Resort is 45 minutes south of Bozeman – or Bridger Bowl Ski Area is 20 miles north. Snowmobiling and cross-country skiing locations are also minutes away.
New Orleans is known for its annual Mardi Gras celebration, restaurants serving up Southern favorites, and music. Frenchmen Street has an array of live performance venues each with a unique vibe and musical style where it’s jazz, blues, reggae, or rock. Perhaps the most famous street in New Orleans, Bourbon Street, is the life of the party complete with neon lights, music, and beads overflowing off balconies full of people. Don’t forget to stop by Café du Monde for their world-famous beignets.
