SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, 2020-Feb-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Spring Break fun is just around the river bend. With new attractions, family entertainment and wallet-friendly accommodations, now is the time to plan an unforgettable Spring Break in San Antonio.
Here are seven new experiences visitors won’t want to miss in 2020:
Twisted Trails Adventure Course is an all-new six-story-high attraction featuring four levels and 50 elements to challenge all ages. Guests test their skills with activities such as lily pads, stepping stones, a weave walk, squid steps and a rolling log. Unlike traditional ziplines, which only travel along a straight line, Twisted Trails includes 685-feet of curved rails, offering a soaring roller coaster-like experience. Nearby, the new Twisted Trails Tykes allows pint-sized thrill seekers their own taste of the action.
Texas Stingray will be the tallest, fastest and longest wooden roller coaster in Texas when it opens Feb. 29. Featuring a 100-foot drop and more than 15 airtime hills, riders will want to hold on tight for this exhilarating ride that reaches speeds of 55 miles per hour. Looking to cool off? Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark, will open its new Tonga Twister body slides on March
It’s a whole new world as Disney’s hit Broadway musical “Aladdin” debuts in San Antonio. The extraordinary theatrical production features beauty, magic, comedy and breathtaking spectacle. Performed by a professional cast at the magnificent Majestic Theatre, “Aladdin” belongs on everyone’s Spring Break wish list.
LEGOLAND Discovery Center is the ultimate indoor LEGO® playground designed for families with children ages 3 to 10 to play together. Located downtown at the Shops at Rivercenter, the attraction offers themed LEGO play areas, LEGO-themed rides and the colorful MINILAND exhibit, which reflects the buildings and skyline of San Antonio.
Inspired by the infamous DC super villain, THE JOKER Carnival of Chaos is one of the world’s tallest pendulum rides. It stands a record-breaking 17 stories and reaches speeds up to 75 miles per hour. The Joker joins Fiesta Texas’ thrilling lineup of rides, which also includes BATMAN The Ride, WONDER WOMAN Golden Lasso and SUPERMAN Krypton Coaster.
Learning and fun are front and center at family-focused museums, The DoSeum and The Witte, this spring. At the Witte Museum, “Backyard Adventures” will engage visitors in science and technology inspired by their own backyards. Guests will discover the outdoors from a bee’s perspective, take a walk through a digital garden and investigate creatures that only come out at night. Designed by composer and inventor Paul Dresher, “Sound Maze” at The DoSeum encourages children to experiment with new instruments and discover the joy of making music.
Racing super-speed karts at Andretti’s Indoor Karting & Games, taking flight at iFLY Indoor Skydiving and competing for the longest drive at Topgolf are just a few ways to work up an appetite at The RIM Shopping Center. Now, visitors can satisfy their hunger with cuisine from La Familia Cortez, the family behind beloved downtown restaurants Mi Tierra, La Margarita, Viva Villa and Pico de Gallo. Their new north San Antonio restaurant, Mi Familia de Mi Tierra, offers popular Tex-Mex dishes, a vast array of pan dulce, craft cocktails alongside Mexican beers and margaritas and mariachis to serenade diners at their tables.
