Ryanair successfully implements its new bag policy

DUBLIN, Ireland, 2018-Jan-17 — /Travel PR News/ — Ryanair’s new bag policy went live today (15 Jan) offering:

– Lower check-in bag fees (down from €/£35 to €/£25 per check-in bag)
– Bigger check-in bag allowances (up from 15kg to 20kg)
– 2 free carry-on bag allowance for all customers continues
– Non-priority customers can bring 2 free carry-on bags but will be required to put the bigger of the 2 bags in the hold – free of charge – at the boarding gate to avoid boarding delays and/or baggage offloads.

Priority Boarding can be purchased at time of flight booking for just €/£5 or added for €/£6 up to 30 minutes before scheduled departure time on the Ryanair App.

Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs said:

“We’re pleased to launch our new cabin bag policy today which has been implemented successfully and we believe it will speed up the boarding of flights and eliminate flight delays, alongside our new checked bag policy which offers our customers lower bag fees for a 33% increase in their checked bag allowance.

Priority Boarding customers can bring two carry-on bags on the aircraft, which can be added from just €/£5. All other customers will still enjoy our free two bag allowance and can bring one smaller carry-on bag on board, while their second (bigger) wheelie bag will be placed in the hold (free of charge) at the boarding gate.”
