(IN SHORT) On 2 April 2025, Aberdeen International Airport launched its new twice-weekly Ryanair service to Krakow, becoming the airport’s second direct connection to Poland after Gdansk. This new route, part of Ryanair’s expanding presence at the airport, adds Krakow as the fourth destination from Aberdeen alongside Malaga, Alicante, and Faro. The move is in response to strong passenger demand for European travel, with Mark Beveridge, Managing Director at Aberdeen International Airport, highlighting increased flexibility, convenience, and a significant boost in summer capacity with 20,000 additional departing seats. The flights operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, reflecting the airport’s commitment to meeting the growing needs of travelers from the North East.

(PRESS RELEASE) ABERDEEN, 2025-Apr-3 — /Travel PR News/ — Flights to Krakow with Ryanair have launched from Aberdeen International Airport, marking a significant expansion of travel options from the North East’s largest transport hub. On 2 April 2025, the first flights took off, adding Krakow as Ryanair’s fourth destination from Aberdeen alongside Malaga, Alicante, and Faro. This new service makes Krakow the airport’s second direct connection to Poland, joining the popular route to Gdansk.

The twice-weekly flights, scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays, come as part of Ryanair’s growing presence at Aberdeen International Airport amid rising demand for European travel. Mark Beveridge, Managing Director at Aberdeen International Airport, expressed enthusiasm about the new route. “We are thrilled to welcome Ryanair’s new direct service to Krakow, which will enhance our connectivity to Europe and provide passengers with greater flexibility and convenience when traveling to one of Europe’s most vibrant and historically rich cities. Krakow has been one of the most highly requested destinations from Aberdeen, and we are delighted that Ryanair has responded to this demand,” he said. Beveridge also noted that Ryanair is boosting its operations by increasing flights to Faro, Alicante, and Malaga to three per week, and adding a 50% increase in capacity for summer 2025 with an extra 20,000 departing seats, underscoring the growing appetite for European destinations from the North East.
