2012-07-25 — /travelprnews.com/ — Ryanair, Europe’s only ultra-low cost airline, today (24Jul) called on the Spanish Govt to prohibit the unsafe regulation allowing police officers – even off-duty – bringing firearms onto domestic flights in Spain, after a Spanish policeman breached safety regulations by boarding a flight while secretly carrying a gun. Ryanair has formally complained to the Spanish Ambassador to Ireland, the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Spanish Govt and has reported the officer involved to the Spanish Police following the unsafe incident, which was a clear breach of Ryanair’s – no guns – regulations and endangered the safety of all 173 passengers on the flight.
