• 25 newlyweds planted their “tree of love” at the resort over the past 12 months
• From June, couples will receive a photograph of their tree on their first anniversary

2013-07-01 — /travelprnews.com/ — Couples who celebrated their wedding at the romantic Raffles Praslin Seychelles 12 months ago will soon receive a photograph of their “tree of love” which they planted at the resort during their wedding ceremony.

With a backdrop of dramatic granite formations, opal-hued waters and pristine beaches it is little wonder that the romantic Raffles Praslin Seychelles has become a sought-after destination for weddings. A year ago, Raffles Praslin offered the “tree of love” celebration as part of a wedding ceremony at the resort where couples are invited to plant a tree personalized with their name, as a symbol of their growing relationship, and to commemorate their union and pledge their everlasting love. They are presented with a certificate of “ownership” for their tree, and on their wedding anniversary, couples will receive a photograph of the tree growing at the birthplace of their union. The “tree of love” celebration is praised by newlyweds, who can relate to this unique experience.

Over the past year, 25 couples took part in the charming celebration and the first married couples who planted the first trees a year ago will receive photographs of their tree this month. Some couples are even planning to come back to the resort on their anniversary, to relive the experience. One of the couples commented: “We were so pleased with the arrangements for the wedding. It surpassed all our expectations and everyone was just so kind and thoughtful through the whole experience. We will definitely have to revisit to relive the very happy memories.”
