Doha, Qatar, 2019-Feb-14 — /Travel PR News/ — Qatari Diar, in partnership with Katara Hospitality, organized the 2019 National Sports Day activities, at the Crescent Park in Lusail City.
This year, the company organized many sports activities that support the concept of sport as a healthy lifestyle. This is in line with HH Emir’s directives, and Qatar Vision 2030. These activities include football, volleyball, basketball and a variety of special events for children.
The event was attended by Eng. Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah, CEO of Qatari Diar and Mr. Hamad Abdullah Al Mulla, CEO of Katara Hospitality, as well as the employees of the two companies with their families. The activities were held from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Eng. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, CEO of Qatari Diar, stressed the enthusiasm of the company to participate every year in the National Sports Day activities. Since the issuance of Emiri Decree No. 80 of 2011 (Declaration of the National Sports Day), Qatari Diar as a company is keen to organize different sports events for their employees and associates.
He stressed that spreading the awareness of the importance of sport as a lifestyle, not only held by Qatari Diar in the sports day, it’s a defining factor in its planning for sustainable projects. The most important example of this is the City of Lusail, where the annual events are held. The Marina, which spans 4.2 square kilometers, provides more than 142,000 square meters of Promenades, along with Bicycle paths and many parks dotted around the city , to raise awareness and importance of sports throughout the year.
Mr. Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Mulla, Chief Executive Officer of Katara Hospitality, emphasized that the celebration of the Sports Day enhances the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 by highlighting the role of sport in creating a healthy lifestyle in the society. On this day, the state, government institutions and private companies are working to form sports programs to inspire community members to adopt healthy habits.
He added that Katara Hospitality has set a comprehensive and integrated approach to its social responsibility based on our established infrastructure in order to achieve sustainable economic value and empower the communities in which we are active both in Qatar and abroad.
