The world’s leading airport commercial revenues conference will be held in Qatar for the first time
DOHA, Qatar, 2019-Oct-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, Minister of Transport and Communications of the State of Qatar, Qatar Airways, Hamad International Airport (HIA), and Qatar Duty Free (QDF) have teamed up to host the 2019 Trinity Forum – the world’s most influential airport commercial revenues conference – from 30 to 31 October at the St. Regis Doha.
The Trinity Forum is an annual event organised by The Moodie Davitt Report, Airports Council International (ACI), and ACI Asia-Pacific. This year’s edition in Doha marks the first time the conference will be hosted in Qatar and co-hosted by an airline carrier.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, will be a keynote speaker at the event, alongside Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Chief Operating Officer at HIA. They will be joined by other leaders in the aviation and retail industries, who will explore how airports, concessionaires, and brands can work together for the benefit of the travelling consumer.
H.E. Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “I am delighted to welcome hundreds of industry peers to this year’s Trinity Forum in Doha. It is the shared objective of Qatar Airways, Hamad International Airport, and Qatar Duty Free to provide our passengers with an award-winning shopping and dining experience. We proudly work with brands in the true ‘trinity’ model of airport, retailer, and supplier to create a world-class shopping experience to travelling customers.”
Founder and Chairman at The Moodie Davitt Report, Martin Moodie, said: “It is a thrill and honour to bring the event that I founded in 2003, and which has become such a pivotal element of the airport commercial revenues calendar, to Qatar for the first time. Hamad International Airport is one of the world’s great airports, and Qatar Airways is one of modern aviation’s most extraordinary success stories. We are proud to partner with such outstanding organisations and with Qatar Duty Free, which so epitomises our industry’s drive for retail and consumer service excellence.
“We’re also proud and excited to be bringing guests from all over the world to this extraordinary country, where they will enjoy amazing Arabian hospitality, culture and commerce in a unique and compelling setting. Together with our kind hosts, we can promise an unforgettable experience.”
The Qatar Airways Group offers passengers unrivalled, award-winning services throughout their journey. HIA was ranked as the fourth-best airport in the world at the 2019 Skytrax World Airport Awards, while QDF was named ‘Airport Retail Operation of the Year’ at the 2019 DFNI-Frontier EMEA Awards.
