This groundbreaking deal includes 160 firm orders and 50 options, underscoring Qatar Airways’ strategy to expand its fleet and strengthen its global presence. The agreement includes a total of 130 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 30 777-9 aircraft, alongside the option for an additional 50 units of 787 and 777-9 models. This significant order comes as part of Qatar Airways’ ambitious long-term growth plan, focusing on efficiency, sustainability, and enhancing customer experiences.

Alongside the aircraft order, Qatar Airways has signed a major agreement with GE Aerospace for over 400 engines, which include 60 GE9X and 260 GEnx engines, to power its next-generation Boeing 777-9 and 787 aircraft. This deal is the largest widebody engine purchase in GE Aerospace’s history, reinforcing Qatar Airways’ commitment to modernizing its fleet with the latest and most efficient technologies.
