Qantas Unveils Limited-Time Offer: Double Status Credits or Double Qantas Points for Frequent Flyers

(IN SHORT) Qantas introduces a highly anticipated promotion offering its Frequent Flyers the choice between double Status Credits or double Qantas Points for bookings made on any Qantas flight over the next seven days. Members can register through the Qantas App and book flights for travel between February 28, 2024, and February 14, 2025, seizing the opportunity to expedite their progression through Qantas’ Status tiers or accumulate points for future rewards. The offer extends to Qantas Business Rewards members as well, providing opportunities to boost their business travel budget with double points.

(PRESS RELEASE) Sydney, Australia, 2024-Feb-22 — /Travel PR News/ — Qantas Frequent Flyers will be able to boost their Qantas Points balance or status with a much anticipated double Status Credits or double Qantas Points offer.

For the next seven days (until 11.59pm 27 February 2024 AEDT), members who book any Qantas flight (operated by Qantas and with a QF flight number) across the airline’s regional, domestic or international network will be offered a choice of either double Status Credits or double Qantas Points.

Frequent Flyers can register via the Qantas App and book as many flights as they like through the offer for travel across the next year between 28 February 2024 to 14 February 2025.

Double Status Credits offers are particularly popular amongst frequent flyers because Status Credits can usually only be earned by flying (or by achieving Green Tier) and allow members to move up through Qantas’ Status tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One.

Using the Double Status Credits offer, a member could move from Bronze to Silver by booking two return Melbourne to Brisbane flights in Business, or two return Sydney to Singapore flights in Economy.

During the most recent Double Status or Qantas Points offer, one member used the opportunity to pre-plan their travel and book 68 flights, earning 12,300 Status Credits, which is enough to jump from Bronze to Platinum One status more than three times over.

Qantas Business Rewards members can also register separately for Double Points for their business and use Qantas Points to save on their future business travel budget.

Comments from a Qantas spokesperson:

“Our members tell us that double points and status credits is one of their favourite offers of the year. It helps fast track their progress to a higher status tier, which in turn unlocks additional benefits when they are travelling around the country or globe, from lounge access to increased baggage allowances.

“For those who choose double Qantas Points, it can provide them with a future trip, help with an upgrade to a premium seat on their next flight, or give them a shopping spree for anything from a new handbag to the latest noise cancelling headphones from Qantas Marketplace.”
