(PRESS RELEASE) Sydney, Australia, 2024-Oct-17 — /Travel PR News/ — Qantas is set to significantly grow its international network by adding 220,000 seats across key routes in the US, Asia, and the Pacific over the next year, with the introduction of new aircraft and a new destination. Starting in February 2025, the airline will launch a new Brisbane to Palau route and return two upgraded Airbus A380s to its fleet. QantasLink will also debut its next-generation A220 aircraft on the Darwin to Singapore route, increasing capacity and customer choice.
Qantas is also increasing capacity on US routes, boosting premium seating by 30% with more A380s and Boeing 787 Dreamliners, particularly on flights between Brisbane and Los Angeles, and Sydney and Dallas. In addition, Jetstar will take over the Sydney to Seoul route in June 2025, allowing Qantas to focus on other routes with higher demand.
Qantas Group International CEO Cam Wallace expressed excitement about the expansion, emphasizing that these changes, which are part of Qantas’ fleet renewal program, will better meet growing customer demand and improve flexibility across the Qantas and Jetstar networks.
