Qantas will commence operations with three weekly flights between Brisbane and Port Vila from September 10, 2024, with potential to increase to five based on demand. Jetstar, on the other hand, will offer up to four weekly flights between Sydney and Port Vila starting December 12, 2024.
This initiative is set to add over 150,000 new seats annually between Australia and Vanuatu, catering to diverse travel preferences with Qantas offering all-inclusive travel experiences and Jetstar providing budget-friendly options with additional services available.
Qantas will utilize its Boeing 737 aircraft for these routes, while Jetstar will leverage its fleet of Airbus A321neo LRs. These enhancements aim to bolster Vanuatu’s tourism sector, positioning the South Pacific archipelago as a top destination for Australian travelers seeking cultural experiences, pristine landscapes, and adventurous activities.
