Public auction to offer surplus airport items

Inventory includes vehicles, office equipment. lighting fixtures, commercial-grade tools and equipment, and lost-and-found items

INDIANAPOLIS, 2012-07-30 — /travelprnews.com/ — A public auction of Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) surplus items will be held on Tuesday Aug. 14 beginning at 9 a.m. at the IAA’s Maintenance and Operations Building, located at 2000 S. Banner Ave. An inspection day will be held on Monday Aug. 13 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Ample public parking is available at the site. A large assortment of general shop equipment, machines, tools, furniture, scrap metal of all types, and a wide array of other items will be auctioned. Specific items include:

 Shuttle busses
 Fire rescue truck
 Passenger vans
 Snowplow chassis with snow broom
 Pressure washers
 Dump trucks with plow hookups
 Various lifts (aerial, fork, and scissor)
 Air compressor
 Fire extinguishers
 X-Ray machine
 Laptops, PCs, flat-screen monitors, and televisions
 Miscellaneous office equipment including file cabinets and chairs
 Airport lost-and-found items including jewelry and electronics

AAA Auction Service, Inc., of New Haven, Indiana, will conduct the auction.
