Pinehurst, NC, 2020-Apr-06 — /Travel PR News/ — In light of the novel coronavirus outbreak, Pinehurst Resort, one of the leading golf resorts has decided to temporarily shut down lodging and dining options to the public, leaving available the take-out option. The golf courses remain open for members and public play but with the mention that social distancing needs to taken as a protection measure.
During this period, booking tee times on the most popular courses (Pinehurst No.2, No.4, and The Cradle Course) will be available to non-resort guests 24 hours before the desired day of play and other courses will be available for booking 5 days prior to the day of play.
In preparation for the closure, Pinehurst has issued a new policy that allows guests to cancel up to 48 days prior to their arrival. The refunds will be issued minus the 300$ deposit per golfer or, by the guests’ request payments can be kept on as credit and rescheduled within one year. Groups are given the option of a full refund or rescheduling within a one year period.
The estimated reopening date is set to May 1st, 2020, and from then the bookings will function normally through Pinehurst Resort or Golf Trip Junkie.
