Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority announced that Jane L. Morris is the new Executive Director

Airport Authority Board of Directors Approves Unanimously

MESA, Ariz., 2013-03-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority announced today that Jane L. Morris is the new Executive Director.

Ms. Morris, 53, will report to the Board of Directors and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Airport and replaces the Airport Authority’s Lynn Kusy, who retired March 14.

“Jane is a gifted executive with strong credentials whose leadership at the City of Phoenix helped to expand its airport and city infrastructure,” said Mesa Mayor Scott Smith. “The Airport Board of Directors decided that her experience made her the ideal candidate to lead Gateway Airport at this moment in time when we are highly focused on growing our passenger service amenities.”

Morris joined Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in November after retiring last June as Deputy City Manager with the City of Phoenix, where she worked for 28 years.  For seven years, she held various leadership roles at Sky Harbor International Airport including Assistant Aviation Director and Deputy Director of Planning and Environmental Services.  She holds Accreditation from the American Association of Airport Executives and a Master in Public Administration from Arizona State University.

Morris’ original position at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport was to oversee the planning and execution of the Gateway 2030 plan, which includes the design and construction of the next passenger terminal facility and supporting infrastructure.
