Halifax, N.S., 2014-6-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Paul Brigley has been appointed Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA), effective June 30, 2014.
The position became vacant when Joyce Carter was appointed President and CEO earlier this year.
In his new position, Mr. Brigley will be responsible for the advancement and protection of the financial integrity of HIAA. He will oversee all significant financial transactions and will support and analyze HIAA’s business activities and opportunities.

He is responsible for the execution of the financial elements of the organization’s strategic plan including all aspects of financial reporting and planning, treasury, pension administration and controller functions. In 2007, he managed the financial transition of Halterm from a publicly traded income fund to a privately held enterprise and coordinated the relationship with lenders underwriting the transaction.
“I am very pleased to be joining the team at HIAA and look forward to contributing to the execution of their strategic plan,” says Mr. Brigley.
Prior to joining Halterm in 2004, Mr. Brigley held senior financial reporting roles with Maritime Life Assurance and the Bank of Bermuda. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University and is a Chartered Accountant.
