Oslo Airport welcomes W.B. Samson

2013-02-25 — /travelprnews.com/ — On 15 February, W.B. Samson opened its bakery at Oslo Airport. This is the only full-service bakery at a Scandinavian airport.

The bakery offers a variety of coffees and teas, as well as homemade hot chocolate with real whipped cream, sandwiches and many other baked goods. Customers can also purchase marzipan cream cake, marzipan ring cake and other cakes and which can be taken through security.

“The idea is to make this a natural meeting point in the departures hall. A place to relax, meet fellow travellers, or to say good-bye to those you’ve followed to the airport. All this in an atmosphere that reminds you of downtown Oslo,” says Carl Fredrik Samson.

About W. B. Samson
W. B. Samson is a family-owned bakery which was started by William Bismark Samson in 1894 on Egertorget square in downtown Oslo. The bakery has been open for almost 120 years, seen two world wars, and served more than 30 million customers. The bakery is now operated by the fourth and fifth generations of Samsons. The bakery has more than 20 outlets in the Oslo region.

The bakery will be operated by SSP The Food Travel Experts, which operates most of the food service outlets at the airport.
