2013-03-14 — /travelprnews.com/ — This February saw Oslo Airport pass Copenhagen for the first time, making it the largest airport in Scandinavia this month.

– This is something we have eagerly anticipated. This is excellent news for us and we’re very proud. At the same time, we are aware that Copenhagen will be the largest airport for the year overall, says Managing Director Nic. Nilsen at Oslo Airport.

In February, 1 605 408 passengers travelled through Oslo Airport. This is a decrease of 0.2 per cent compared with last year. The number of international flights increased 1.9 per cent, while domestic flights decreased 2.4 per cent. The number of aircraft movements in February was 16 876. This is a decrease of 3.9 per cent compared with February 2012.

– The primary reason for the minor decrease is that last year was a leap year. We see that charter traffic is again helping to increase the number of international flights. It is more important for us to deliver high quality services that airline and passengers want, rather than being the largest, managing director Nic. Nilsen says.
